Hello! This is Naomi, nice to meet you. I’m learning American Sign Language, Dutch and Turkish on my own, and I need some help. FEMALE ONLY, PLEASE. I’ve started learning ASL since this year 2023, I have found a few websites to learn signs but I’m confused with its grammar. I hope I can make friends with someone who can teach me the grammar for ASL. Over de Nederlandse taal, ik heb de basisgrammatica geleerd en ben nu aan het oefenen met het schrijven van zinnen in het Nederlands. Ik hou heel veel van deze taal! Ik hoop dat ik hier vrienden kan vinden om berichten in het Nederlands te schrijven. Temel Türkçe gramerini öğrendim ve şimdi Türkçe cümle yazmak için pratik yapıyorum. Ama doğal Türkçe cümle yazamıyorum, Türkçe doğal cümle yazmayı bilmiyorum. Türkçe çok karmaşık ve zor, bu yüzden biraz yardıma ihtiyacım var. Although I’m currently focusing on learning ASL, Dutch and Turkish, I love learning languages so I will be happy if you teach me your mother tongue. Any language is welcome! I love learning languages, baking, singing, sewing, reading, etc.

I am seeking for English-Japanese language exchange partners for Language exchange purpose ONLY. Non-native English speakers are also welcome. I have this plan in my mind. We can bring up some materials that we are interested in and take turn explaining each other the true meaning and cultural background that lies behind them. The material could be a newspaper or internet article, a book or comic, a brochure or poster etc. Despites many emerging powerful technologies such as Google Translate, apps and AI, I still believe that interacting with real people is the most efficient way to learn a language to its core. I can help you learn or practice your Japanese language. I live in Ross Township and I commute to work in downtown Pittsburgh every weekday. Not every week, but I think can make myself available from 4:30pm-6:30pm on weekday except Wednesday, and from 9am-5pm on weekend. I prefer to meet in-person, 1 hour weekly or per bi-weekly, at any public libraries, such as Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, university libraries or meeting spaces, or even a local cafe. We can start with an online (Skype) conversation first for a couple of times, before we feel comfortable enough to meet. If you are interested, please feel free to leave me a message.
