I am Dana. I am retired from work. Now I like to work around my house, cook, read, travel, and watch movies and sports. In 2019 my wife and I had two Japanese students stay with us for 3 weeks. They came to an English program at a local university. So now I am learning to speak some Japanese and I hope to visit Japan someday. I studied Japanese for more than two years but feel I did not make enough progress so took some months off. I would like to start over. I hope that what I have studied before will come back to me and I will progress faster. I would like to find a Language Exchange partner that could help me learn Japanese with beginning conversations and short written messages. I am interested in daily life and Japanese cooking. I also want to help you with English and increase your comfort and confidence in speaking it. I find that many Japanese know English well, but need practice and confidence in speaking. I would love to talk with Japanese people in English and learn more about Japan and daily life.
