I'm Alim from Russia. I teach English in a school in China. Being of Bashkort ethnic minority I learnt Turkish quite well as they both are Turkic languages. I lived in Dubai and Damascus, learnt some basic Syrian Arabic (couldn't learn Arabic in Dubai at all - it's the 'wrong' place to learn Arabic). Been in China for five years now. Learnt Chinese to some extent. Haven't been able to excel due to my laziness and lack of structured learning. Have never learnt Farsi.
