Hallo! Ich heiรe Ali und komme aus Kurdistan. Wegen politischer Verfolgung, Unterdrรผckung und Gewalt durch den tรผrkischen Staat musste ich meine Heimat verlassen. Jetzt lebe ich in der Schweiz und versuche, mein Leben neu aufzubauen.

I was born and living in the german part of switzerland. And Im learning Chinese(Mandarin) for fun because I simply love the language.
Hopefully my chinese will be good enough one day to watch movies and understand songs.
My motherlanguage is swiss-german, but I am also fluent in "german-german".
So if you are a native chinese-speaker and want to learn german (or even swiss? :) ) I am happy to help.

Hello.
My name is Rowena and I am eager to practice speaking French!
I have two sons and they speak French but sadly, they are not comfortable to practice with me. I guess that's how it is since they grew up understanding me but when I try to speak French, they don't :(
So I have to find other ways to learn. I think that with constant practice I can finally be more fluent and hopefully fill the gaps in my vocabulary.
I am originally from the Philippines and I moved to NYC in my twenties and started a family there. We now live in Geneva and the boys are in the Swiss school system so they quickly picked up the language.
Je fais du sport, je joue au tennis et je pratique le Crossfit. J'aime cuisiner et fais du pain aussi.
I'm looking forward to chatting with you guys in English and French. I'm sure it'll be a challenge and super fun.

My mother tounge is Italian, i can both write and speak Italian pretty comfortably.
My second best language is English as I think i can both write and speak quite well.
For my third i can speak Arab like a native but i can't read it as i haven't been taught by my parents.
I've been studying Japanese for a while now and I haven't really had the chance to practice so I thought this place would be the best way.
My main hobbies are drawing, playing videogames, basketball and reading.
