Hey! I'm Jemma, a 34yo professional Chinese-English translator graduated from both SOAS London and Bristol University. I live in Nottingham with my long-term partner and am keen to find someone willing to practice mandarin with me - my Chinese reading comprehension is very good (it's my job!) but my speaking is not very good, I really want to improve it with face to face practice.
Ideally, I want to find a partner in Nottingham who will meet with me once a week for coffee and a chat, I live close to Nottingham University so a student would be awesome! I specialise in videogame translation and localisation and am also an aspiring scholar looking to undertake a PhD. I love videogames, board games, nerdy stuff like anime and Japanalia! I'm always interested in learning new things, especially about local cultural practices.
I'm very laid back, I like to talk and (I think) I am friendly and approachable :)
