Hi!👋🏼 Aloha kākou!☀️ Salvete!😊 Guten Tag!😁 Salut!😉 I'm Magdalene and I'm a language learning addict with no plans to quit. I speak German and English (3rd language) fluently. I've been learning 'ōlelo Hawai'i (Hawaiian for Hawaiian) for 2 years and Latin (classic) for 1,5 years on Duolingo and although it's a nice start, the app has taught me all it can. I'm still on there for beginner's Swedish and some remedial French, though, and to make sure I don't forget anything while I carry on with books (including grammar books and the first volume of the Harry Potter series in each language). I'm currently reading "Fluent Forever" and I'm quite enjoying it. It's helpful especially for building a good learning habit with flashcards. I'd love to train more actual conversational skills and build up my vocabulary as well as understanding the grammatical intricacies of my languages better, especially in Latin, where I probably have slightly better chances to find someone to chat with - but if anyone would like to converse in Hawaiian, I'd be thrilled! Sadly, I couldn't even add it to my list of languages. I just started with Darija (youtube), but think I will grasp the basics quickly with some practice.
