The issues with my Haitian Creole and English are related to fluidity, connected speech, pronunciation and linguistic identity shift. When I speak I can tell there is something missing. A bit about me, I’m a 24 year old university student with an old soul. I'm driven by culture, emotion, and human connection. I’m deeply passionate about storytelling. My interests sit at the intersection of art, sociopolitics, and identity, with a strong focus on Creole cultures, diaspora experiences, and community empowerment. Language, for me, is not just a tool -- it’s a gateway into people’s realities. I’m already fluent in English, French, and Haitian Creole, and I’m intentionally expanding into languages like Spanish and Portuguese to connect with Afro-diasporic communities across Latin America, especially in places like Brazil. I’m also drawn to languages like Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Norwegian, and Dutch, each for different emotional, cultural, or creative reasons. At my core, I’m someone who seeks freedom and depth through language, through art, and through stories that speak (or spoke) to me. I am currently learning Spanish and Arabic. However, I do feel the need to connect with my native heritage language (HT) as well as my second language (ENG) first -- before fully immersing myself in other languages...

j'apprends l'italien pour le plaisir ; j'ai eu le bonheur de pouvoir visiter de nombreux endroits de ce très beau pays, ces visites m'ont donné l'envie de pratiquer sa langue il y a 3 ans, j'ai commencé cet apprentissage, d'abord avec un professeur puis de plus en plus de façon autodidacte La pratique de l'échange sur Pc via Skype puis Teams est un vrai bonheur et je souhaite enrichir le nombre de mes correspondants ; ma conviction est que partager la langue est la base de la découverte des autres, et dans ce cas précis de la culture, du mode de vie et de la façon de penser de mes voisins italiens actuellement retraité, j'ai exercé la profesision de médecin jusqu'à l'âge de 68 ans mes pôles d'intérêt sont le voyage, la littérature, la peinture, la technologie numérique, mais je ne suis que débutant dans ce domaine, et d'une façon générale la découverte de l'autre l'idéal serait que je puisse nouer une relation régulière en visio la seule limite que je voudrais faire respecter, c'est que je n'aime pas les extrémismes
