Hey! I’m Derick – currently living in North London and always on the lookout for new experiences (and good coffee, of course!).
Languages I speak (or try to!):
Portuguese is my native language, but I get by in English and Spanish – both at an intermediate level. I’m always looking to improve, so any chance to practise is much appreciated!
What I’m into:
I’m all about yoga, cakes, and coffee. Honestly, there’s nothing better than unwinding with a good cup of coffee (or a glass of wine, depending on the mood) and having a chat. Oh, and I’m a big fan of sci-fi films and series – if there’s a binge-watch session happening, count me in!

In the last 25 years I was living abroad and working only in English. Even in Germany, I was working only with international companies and did not have the need to learn German. Now I want to change it, and to become fluent in German. I am interested to exchange with someone that wants to learn English and in exchange to speak with me in German. My Background
I’m currently living in the UK for the past two months, but I’m a long-term resident of China. I’ve also lived in Australia for one year and traveled to Japan, South Korea, France, the UK, the US, Italy, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, as well as some countries in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
